Our church had its first service on January 9, 2011. My family had just relocated to Charlotte five months prior and we were full of zeal and ready to follow Jesus into all that He was calling us to do in the Queen City. Since then we have seen some great things all involving individual lives. We’ve witnessed souls discover the grace, love and power found in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, lives recommitted to adventurously following the Lord, hearts emboldened by the power of the Holy Spirit and homes restored with hope. Nonetheless, there was and still is room for growth.
In early 2017 after six years of ministry in the Charlotte area, the Lord began to impress upon my heart the need for shifting the direction of our church. As I revisited our mission, vision and goals, and aligned them against the backdrop of what Jesus communicated in scripture for His church to be, I realized more and more that I was off. I knew that for our young, six-year-old ministry to truly strive to BE THE CHURCH & not just be a place where people come to church, some bold changes needed to be made. After praying, processing & sharing what I was sensing to people who I trust, I decided in January of 2018 to postpone our weekend worship services at the end of February, for 3 to 6 months. My hope was that those who shared the same burden as I to truly make disciples, would join me in meeting in small groups throughout the week while we recaptured the biblical essence of making disciples, rebuilt our core leadership team and planned to re-launch and re-load our weekend worship service in the fall.
On Sept 16, 2018 we will go live to the public once again at 10am, meeting at Ultimate Sports & Wellness Complex, 500 West 32nd St, Charlotte, NC 28206. We will have the following mission;
Honor God by making new and passionate followers of Christ from all walks of life, in cities around the world. We will be co-laborers with Christ in the Great Commission of making disciples. If you would like to find out more information about our core team, or perhaps chat to discuss how you might partner with us, please feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
Grace, Peace & Power,
Pastor Kirby Anthony
